I’ve been a full-time content creator for four years now and one thing I didn’t see coming was that I’d be using AI tools daily or weekly in 2025. ChatGPT was one of the first AI tools I experimented with in 2024. After chatting and learning how other content creators and influencer friends were using ChatGPT, I decided to see how to integrate it into my work processes.
What is ChatGPT?
If you haven’t heard of ChatGPT yet, this AI tool takes your input (a question or a request) and generates a response. This generative AI tool can help you summarize complex information, organize your ideas, and even write your social media captions. ChatGPT can even help you code.
One thing to consider is that while this relatively new AI tool can access large amounts of information, it still may not be able to answer hyper-niche topics or updates and changes to specific industries and fields. As a content creator, I’m using ChatGPT, but I also know that it’s not my only source for research when I’m writing blog posts, articles, or planning out my content. I’m using ChatGPT as a starting point to enable creativity and help me think out of the box.
I’ve been surprised at how ChatGPT has enabled me to work faster, save time, and try new ideas. From brainstorming ideas to pitching a local television show, ChatGPT is transforming how I run my business as an influencer.
Here are 4 ways to use ChatGPT as a content creator:
Use ChatGPT To Craft Your Pitches
You can use ChatGPT to help you write a pitch as a content creator. Many content creators and influencers spend a good chunk of time sending pitches. Some pitch to potential brand partners, while other influencers may pitch for business meetings, speak at events, or even start a new business.
I used ChatGPT to craft an email to pitch a local news station show for a segment. I was very specific in the prompt I inputted in ChatGPT.
Here is the exact prompt I said:
“Hi! I need help crafting a pitch for a local news network. My goal is to contribute to local network shows as either a recurring or regular host.
My name is Emma, and I’m a local Seattle content creator. I share Seattle lifestyle and style content on my social media channels, Emma’s Edition. I also share things to do/places to explore in Seattle by neighborhood on my YouTube channel. I do in-depth research and showcase Seattle coffee shops, plant shops, and local businesses. I also document and share Seattle landmarks. What should I include in my pitch?”
I personalized the response ChatGPT recommended, and my segment with KING 5’s New Day Northwest aired Thursday, March 6th.
How to Start Using ChatGPT For Pitching:
You can start by asking, “Can you please help me write a pitch email for a brand partner?”
Then, provide relevant information to ChatGPT. The more context you give ChatGPT, the better response you’ll receive. In your prompt (your question or request), make sure you share what your goals are from the pitch. I also recommend sharing who you are and the type of content that you create.
Use ChatGPT To Brainstorm And Repurpose Content
Whether you create YouTube videos, podcast episodes, or publish on Substack, ChatGPT can help you generate new ideas, develop series for your platforms, and repurpose content.
If you’re a content creator wanting to plan out your content ahead of time or if you’re an influencer stuck in a creative rut, ChatGPT can help you brainstorm content. Here’s how you can start brainstorming content with ChatGPT:
- “I’m a [insert niche, age, demographic, etc.] content creator based in [city or state]. As a content creator, I create content around [insert niches]. I need help brainstorming ideas for [social media platform]. Can you write a list of content ideas?”
If you’re a content creator wanting to repurpose your content, you can ask ChatGPT to:
- Take a previous blog post and turn it into Instagram Reel or TikTok ideas.
- Take seasonal content from last year and come up with new ways to use those Instagram posts for this year.
- Look at your top performing content of last year and ask how to repurpose all that great content again for this year.
One-way ChatGPT has helped me with my content is that it’s helped me develop a signature series. As a Seattle content creator, I’m constantly sharing things to do in Seattle, including Seattle coffee shops and bookstores.
Here’s what I included in my prompt to ChatGPT:
“Can you please help me come up with a signature series on TikTok? I’m looking to develop a Seattle focused series. Since I showcase Seattle neighborhoods, coffee shops, bookstores, and things to do, I’m hoping I can package up a series that people will want to watch more of and all the videos. I would love the series to also have a catchy title and something I can recreate over and over.”
ChatGPT replied with: “The Seattle Hit List, Your Seattle Weekend Guide, and Seattle in 60 Seconds”.
I loved the Seattle in 60 Seconds idea and have since featured neighborhoods like Downtown Seattle, Capitol Hill, and Pioneer Square on TikTok and Instagram.
Use ChatGPT To Help You Plan Events In Your City
If you’re a content creator or influencer wanting to connect with others in your city, you can use ChatGPT to help you organize the event.
I’m looking to organize a Seattle creator meet-up, and I used ChatGPT to help me create the RSVP forms. Here’s what I inputted in ChatGPT:
“I want to plan a Seattle creator coffee meet up event. I got over 50 people to respond to me on Threads, saying they were interested. How should I proceed? Fifty people is a lot of people, so I’d like to collect everyone’s email addresses using Google Forms and start to build a directory. Or should I plan a bigger venue vs. a coffee shop?
ChatGPT replied with a step-by-step process to help me start planning the event. I followed up and asked what to include in the Google Form, and it gave a list of detailed questions to include in the form.
Use ChatGPT To Get Feedback
Many content creators and influencers are solopreneurs. As a full-time creator, I mainly work independently to write articles, record podcast episodes, and shoot and edit short-form video content. ChatGPT has been helpful in getting feedback on all my social media platforms, YouTube, and email newsletter.
Here are a few ways you can use ChatGPT to get feedback and improve your content:
- Ask ChatGPT for feedback on your YouTube thumbnails. I’ve uploaded my YouTube thumbnails into ChatGPT and asked if I should adjust titles, colors, alignment, etc.
- Ask ChatGPT which hooks would work best on TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Ask ChatGPT about what’s missing in your blog post or podcast outline.
ChatGPT can be an excellent AI tool for content creators looking to work faster, save time, and develop new content for their platforms. It does take some time to play around with ChatGPT and figure out how it may work for your brand and business. But ChatGPT and other AI tools are here to stay and will continue to help content creators and influencers move forward.
